Very clean and spacious taqueria. Perfect for big groups! The service is always friendly and nice and the food comes out quickly. The birria quesadilla is flavorful, I just wish that they would put more birria in the quesadilla. It also would be nice if they served it with the consome. Their breakfast burritos are delicious and very reasonably priced. Overall, a great local taqueria with good prices and good food.
This is simply my go to for Mexican style burritos when I'm in San Diego, California. I love all of their location, locations and visit all of their locations. Their breakfast burritos with fajita on the inside are so amazing. I gotta give them props. They make their burritos special here. Every single bite is a mouthful of phenomenal flavor. Also, the customer service is really good. Everyone that works here is friendly. They do a good job and getting your food out right away. This is one of those locations that I will always visit when I'm in Southern California. I'm pretty sure I visited every single one of their locations. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You will be absolutely satisfied and happy with your choice.
Dropped in here to get some lunch to go with some friends. It took a minute to order, but the food came out relatively quick once we did. I decided to try the fish burrito as it's my favorite type of burrito to order at Mexican joints like this. The fish burrito was great, it had a lot of flavor, and I absolutely loved that they had the salsa bar where you could grab as much salsa as you wanted. The only thing I didn't like was the Horchata. It wasnt creamy, or tasted of cinnamon and didn't taste like a typical Horchata that I've had many times before. Something about it seemed really off. I probably wouldn't purchase again. However, the food was great and I genuinely loved the burrito and my friend said as well. I would definitely come back here!
This was my second time here, last time I was in San Diego someone recommended this place and it was delicious. So on this trip I knew exactly where I wanted to grab a really good bite to eat. Walking in it's a very simple set up. The menus are above the register and once you figure out what you want you place your order and wait for your number to be called. We both got the surf and turf burrito. After placing our order the food came out pretty fast. It became obvious that we had picked a perfect window of time to come in because the place got super busy shortly afterwards. The burritos came out nice and hot. The shrimp was well cooked in it and so was the carne asada. It also had rice, pico and white sauce. The flavors all go together really nicely. Nothing was overpowering. Their portion sizes are big so come hungry. I was only able to eat half my burrito before getting full but the leftovers are really good. One nice thing they offer is the salsa bar with four different types of salsas, cilantro sauce, red sauce, green sauce and, habanero. Each sauce had great flavor and were great compliments to the burrito. This is definitely a place that I will return to. The food is great and the service is fast and friendly. There is also plenty of seating both inside and outside so whatever your preference works.
One of my most frequented taco shops. It's a highly under-talked about spot and that's just a shame. I have never once left feeling put off. Each and every meal I've had there is my new favorite burrito, until the next time I visit. How are their breakfast burritos?? THE ABSOLUTE BEST. California burritos are so overrated... not when you get them from Mr. Cotija!!! (add sour cream, substitute the french fries for has browns, and top it off with their creamy green salsa, I think it's a avocado salsa). The service is also very quick and friendly. I love everything about Cotija's. It's on of the only places I will drive over 30 minutes just to have on a consistent basis.
Cotijas is like the McDonalds of Mexican food out here in San Diego. This franchise absolutely dominates. Cotijas is super nearby work so we stop in quite often for our lunch needs. This restaurant has stayed consistent with quality and products for the last 6 months and I'm blown away. Their service is quick, especially during the lunch rush. Their facility is extremely clean and always inviting. This is one of the cleanest Cotijas I've been in. Their salsa bar is cleaner than most and always stocked. That cilantro salsa is amazing and I could literally drink it. You can make your own burritos and end up with a cheaper burrito than those listed on the menu board. Their cheese quesadillas are super simple but they keep simplicity poppin. I fully suggest their protein bowls, it's basically the contents of two burritos for the price of one. Extremely filling and easy to save for lunch. Love love love this facility.
Yelp Review: This local Mexican joint is a breakfast haven that deserves a spotlight. I stumbled upon the hashbrown breakfast burrito, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. Stuffed with bacon, sausage, and boasting a flavorful integration of sour cream inside, it's a breakfast dream come true. The combination of crispy hashbrowns and savory goodness is pure morning magic. Now, let's talk about the Surfing Cali Burrito. Whoever crafted this masterpiece deserves applause. Packed with flavors that transport you straight to the California coast, it's a surf and turf delight that hits all the right notes. The blend of ingredients is a symphony for your taste buds. And let's not forget the salsas - they're practically an art form. From mild to fiery, each one elevates the flavors in a way that's nothing short of impressive. Whether you're a salsa aficionado or just dipping your toes in, you're in for a treat. In a nutshell, everything I've tried so far at this Mexican gem has been fantastic, and I can't wait to explore more of their menu. From the hashbrown breakfast burrito to the Surfing Cali Burrito, and the amazing salsas - it's a local treasure that deserves all the praise! Highly recommend for a flavorful Mexican fix anytime.
The bean tostada and bean and cheese guacamole burrito was delicious as usual the tostada was very small. The 5 rolled tacos they were very delicious. The shrimp burrito amazing! The bean tostada was very good!!! Another bean tostada was delightful. Don't even start me with the potato tacos 5/5. The protein bowl was dry, and no dressing. The best out of all of them was the enchiladas, SO GOOD!!!!! The service was very friendly, even the people in line! The ambiance was very normal, for a takeout place. Overall a 4.8 , great.
